Paddy Power Poker Announces European Championship of Online Poker VI

Paddy Power Poker has announced a new poker tournament, the European Championship of Online Poker VI, or as it is better known, ECOOP VI. This festival of poker will take place between 24th May and 6th June 2010.  ECOOP VI will feature fourteen separate tournaments and it will have a prize pool of a guaranteed $5,100,000. This will be the biggest ever online poker tournament.

In addition to the ECOOP VI main tournaments, Paddy Power has also announced a Mini ECOOP VI which will take place before the major festival. This Mini ECOOP will take place between 14th May and 23rd May. It has a prize pool of $600,000 but the buy-ins are at a much lower level that those of the major festival. In total there will be ten tournaments in the Mini ECOOP.

Both types of tournament will feature a variety of games which include Texas Hold’em, Omaha and Seven Card Stud. The minimum buy-in in the Mini ECOOP is $5 rising to $75 and the buy-ins for the major ECOOP start at $100 and rise to $2,500.

There is plenty of time to qualify for these tournaments online and satellites for both of them are available at the Paddy Power Poker website where buy-ins start at $1.00. Also you can register for either of the tournaments directly at the Paddy Power Website.

As an additional incentive Paddy Power Poker is now offering a $600 sign up bonus. There are several additional promotions including Rakes and Ladders and Freeroll qualifiers for the WSOP. Also, if you want to brush up on your poker skills, Paddy Power Poker is now providing a free poker school with information and advice on all aspects of the game.
