Annie Duke to host Charity Poker Tournament

The Celebrity Apprentice runner up and professional poker player, Annie Duke, will be hosting a poker tournament next week to benefit Refugees International.
Duke will be hosting the event set to start on May 27th at the Hard Rock Hotel and Casino Poker Lounge in Las Vegas. The tournament, so aptly named, Sucking out on the Rivers Charity Poker Tournament, will be co-hosted by Frank Marino. Marino is one of the most well-known Joan Rivers impersonators. He will be joined by some 20 other Rivers wannabees, each of whom will have a bounty on them through the tournament.

Poker fans can expect to see some of pokers top professional players in attendance to raise money and awareness for Duke’s charity. The No Limit Hold’em tournament will have a $200 buy-in plus rebuys and add-ons to increase the prize pool.

Duke commented on the tournament, I think that after this poker tournament, the real Joan Rivers will quickly realize that poker players are good-natured people – professional people with respected occupations and families – who really want to change the lives of those less fortunate.” She also stated that, “As poker players, we’re all banding together, not just to prove a point to Joan, but to actually change the world.”

The Sucking out on the Rivers Charity Event kicks off on May 27th at 6pm at the Hard Rock Casino Poker Lounge.
